The Plot of Dangerous Ishhq

The plot of Dangerous Ishhq spans four centuries and tells four different stories set in different time periods. The first story is set in 2012, where Sanjana and Rohan are a famous couple on the social circuit. When Sanjana decides to cancel her modelling assignment in Paris at the last minute, she does so because she feels something bad is going to happen to Rohan. Her intuition proves right when Rohan gets abducted by a masked group that demands 500 million rupees for his release. The police are clueless and helpless, and Sanjana starts hearing strange noises and seeing visions of Rohan calling her Geeta.

The second story is set in 1947, during the partition of India and Pakistan. Sanjana sees herself as Geeta, a young Hindu girl who is in love with Iqbal (Rajneesh Duggal), a Muslim boy. Their love is opposed by their families and the communal riots that erupt in the country. Geeta's uncle kills her entire family, including her sister Chanda (Divya Dutta), who is also Sanjana's friend in 2012. Iqbal suggests that they escape to Amritsar, but his friend Aarif (Arya Babbar) betrays them and reveals their location to Geeta's uncle.

The third story is set in 1658, during the Mughal era. Sanjana sees herself as Salma, a courtesan who is in love with Prince Shah Nawaz (Rajneesh Duggal), the son of Emperor Aurangzeb. Their love is threatened by Durgam Sah (Ravi Kishan), a powerful minister who wants to overthrow Aurangzeb and marry Salma. He kidnaps Shah Nawaz and tortures him in his dungeon. Salma tries to rescue him with the help of Rashid (Sameer Kochhar), a loyal soldier.

The fourth story is set in 1534, during the Rajput era. Sanjana sees herself as Paro, a Rajput princess who is in love with Karan (Rajneesh Duggal), a warrior from another clan. Their love is opposed by Paro's brother Veer Singh (Jimmy Shergill), who wants to marry her off to Raja Bhanu Pratap (Ruslaan Mumtaz), a powerful king. Veer Singh also has a rivalry with Karan's brother Ranveer (Rajneesh Duggal), who leads a rebel army against him. Veer Singh joins hands with Maharani Sha (Gracy Singh), the wife of Durgam Sah, who has reincarnated as a witch.

The Comparison of Dangerous Ishhq with Other Movies

Dangerous Ishhq is not the first movie to deal with the theme of reincarnation and past lives. There have been many other movies in Bollywood and Hollywood that have explored this concept in different ways. Some of the movies that can be compared with Dangerous Ishhq are:

  • Karan Arjun: This is a 1995 Bollywood movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as two brothers who are reincarnated after being killed by their enemies. They reunite with their mother and their lovers in their new lives and take revenge on their killers.

  • Om Shanti Om: This is a 2007 Bollywood movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as two lovers who are separated by death in the 1970s. They are reincarnated in the 2000s and meet again to complete their love story and expose the truth behind their deaths.

  • Inception: This is a 2010 Hollywood movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page as two dream extractors who enter the subconscious of a businessman to plant an idea in his mind. They use different levels of dreams to create complex scenarios and manipulate his memories.

  • Cloud Atlas: This is a 2012 Hollywood movie starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry as six different characters who live in six different eras. Their lives are connected by a common theme of freedom and oppression. They also influence each other's destinies through their actions and choices.

These movies have different plots, genres and styles, but they all share the common element of reincarnation and past lives. They also show how the past affects the present and how the present shapes the future. However, Dangerous Ishhq differs from these movies in its execution and presentation. It tries to combine romance, mystery and fantasy with 3D technology and HD 1080p quality, but fails to create a coherent and engaging story. It also lacks the depth, creativity and originality that these movies have.
