Webinar - Discipline That Does Not Divide
Online Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Date: Jan 11, 2024
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Many of the prevailing discipline practices that parents, educators and caregivers use today prevent or
erode healthy attachment with the children in their care.
Patti will outline several principles of discipline that promote attachment between the parent/educator and
a child, and that are developmentally appropriate.
We can indeed help children and guide their behaviour, without damaging the relationship.
Patti will give practical suggestions and examples to show how to incorporate them into our daily lives with our children.
Living Inquiries:
Well-being and Belonging. Engagement with others, materials, and the world. Communication and literacies. Identities, social responsibility, and diversity.
Pathways:
Every child is a gift. Emotions, thoughts, and views. Interests and inquiries. Knowledge and theories. Time for engagement. Individual differences.
Suitable for
ECE students, parents, adult instructors/administrators,
intermediate and experienced early care and learning professionals working with children of all ages,
from infants/toddlers to school age children, including children with extra support needs.
Facilitator(s): Patti Drobott
