Sensory Play (Infant Through School Age)
April 22, 2024 From 7:00PM - 9:30PM
Sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways,
which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning task and stretches children’s imagination,
promotes physical, cognitive and language development, encourages social, emotional, motor,
problem solving and creativity skills as well as teaches math and science.
It is a great opportunity for children to have unstructured play time, explore different interests and passions,
express their thoughts and feelings and have fun.
During this workshop participants will share their own experiences and ideas through group activities.
Participants will learn how to plan and prepare age and developmentally appropriate sensory bins for children to play and explore,
engage in play with children, encourage children’s thinking and social skills by asking open-ended questions.
Participants will be provided many ideas of sensory play including messy, engaging, fun and how to use objects for children to play and explore.
